BRYAN, TX -- Brazos Christian's Jaxton McNair hopes to join Ross Stripling and Blake Allemand as high school walk-ons at Texas A&M who have gone on to earn scholarships and made an impact for the Maroon and White on the diamond.
Tuesday morning with his family and coaches surrounding him, McNair said he has decided to accept an invitation by head coach Rob Childress to walk-on at Texas A&M.
Through 87 games at Brazos Christian, dating back to his freshman year, McNair has a .658 batting average with 15 home runs, 43 doubles, 23 triples and only struck out 9 times.
He's driven in 155 runs during his 3 1/2 seasons with the Eagles which includes a 1.217 slugging percentage.
