CST to Televise Texas A&M-LSU Volleyball Match

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Another Texas A&M volleyball match will be televised this season, as Cox Sports Television (CST) recently announced that it will broadcast the Aggies’ match at LSU on October 26. The start time of the match at the Pete Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, La., will remain at 7 p.m.

CST is carried on cable systems in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Virginia. Check your local provider to see if the station is carried in your area.

Texas A&M is now slated to have five televised matches during its inaugural season in the Southeastern Conference. The Aggies were picked to finish second in the SEC Western Division, and LSU, the seven-time defending Western Division champion, was picked to defend its title, according to a preseason poll of the league’s head volleyball coaches.

Free Volleyball Clinic, Saturday, Aug. 18
The Texas A&M volleyball team will host a free kids clinic Saturday, Aug. 18 at Reed Arena. The clinic, open to all kids school age through eighth grade, will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on the main floor at Reed. Aggie volleyball coaches and players will conduct the clinic and teach the different skills of the sport.

Participants are welcomed to stay and watch the Aggies practice following the conclusion of the clinic.

Space to the clinic is limited. Interested participants should reserve a spot by Wednesday, Aug. 15 by emailing Kelly Stumph at kstumph@athletics.tamu.edu.

Maroon and White Scrimmage, Monday, Aug. 20
The Texas A&M volleyball team invites fans to attend its Maroon-White scrimmage Monday, Aug. 20 at Reed Arena.

Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. and the team will take the court at 5:30 for warm-up. At 6:30, the team will be introduced and then the players will scrimmage.

A question-and-answer session with head coach Laurie Corbelli and players will be held at the conclusion of the scrimmage, and a limited number of team posters will be given away.

Admission is free.
