COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Texas A&M Softball Double Play Club will sponsor free admission for students to this weekend’s NCAA Softball Regional. The first 100 students to display an official college ID at the NCAA College Station Regional each day will receive free admission to the Aggie Softball Complex.

The double-elimination regional will take place Friday, May 18, through Sunday, May 20, and features No. 8 seed A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Texas State and LSU. Game one Friday between LSU and Texas State begins at 4 p.m., while the matchup between the Aggies and Wildcats is slated for a 7 p.m. start. Every game this weekend will be broadcast on ESPN3.

A&M received an at-large bid for its 11th-consecutive and 23rd-overall NCAA Tournament berth and was chosen to host a regional, with a chance to host a super regional next weekend. The Aggies ended the regular season with a 39-16 record.

All-session passes went on sale yesterday and can be purchased through Friday online at 12thmanfoundation.com/tickets, over the phone at 979-845-2311 or 888-922-4443 (toll-free), or in person at the Zone at Kyle Field box office. Individual day tickets go on sale Friday at 8 a.m. Season ticket holders’ passes will be reserved until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Texas A&M Softball Double Play Club is a group of donors committed to Aggie softball and the improvements needed to continue the success of the program. To learn more about A&M softball, log on to AggieAthletics.com or follow @AggieSoftball on Twitter.
