COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Four Texas A&M soccer players were named to the 2012 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Soccer Preseason Watch List, the conference office announced today.

Sophomores Kelley Monogue, Meghan Streight and Katie Perry and senior Beth West were selected to the list from the A&M squad.
Monogue (McKinney, Texas) was the 2011 Big 12 Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year. The first-year standout also took honors as a Freshman All-American and was ranked the No. 1 freshman in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. Monogue earned spots on the All-Big 12 first team, the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and the All-Big 12 Tournament team, where she was the tournament MVP.

Streight (McKinney, Texas) is a 2011 All-Big 12 second team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team member and was named to the NCAA All-Central Region third team. The defender ranked No. 33 on the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Top 100 List and was named to the TDS.com Team of the Week after a big week at the Big 12 Tournament that earned her a spot on the conference Tournament Team.

Perry (Mission Viejo, Calif.) will be a crucial part of the attack this season for the Aggies after a stellar spring season in which she netted four goals in five matches. The 5-2 sophomore was selected to the 2011 Soccer America Preseason Top 10 Freshmen of Influence List and the TopDrawerSoccer.com Freshman Top 100 List.

West (Centennial, Colo.) returns for her senior season with a slew of accolades to her name. The midfielder took honors on the All-Big 12 first team, the NCAA All-Central Region third team and the Academic All-Big 12 first team last season. West was a 2008 Freshman All-American and has been placed on three separate all-conference teams. In 2011 she broke the program record with 14 assists on the season.

The Aggies will scrimmage in the annual Maroon & White match on Aug. 17 before heading to Irvine, Calif., to open the 2012 season against UC Irvine. The team returns to Ellis Field for an Aug. 25 home opener vs. UTSA and plays its first SEC match against LSU in Baton Rouge on Sept. 14.
