COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Texas A&M redshirt freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel earned three more weekly honors on Monday after his record-setting performance in the Aggies’ win against Arkansas.
Manziel earned honorable mention for the Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week, was one of eight quarterbacks selected for the Manning Award Stars of the Week, and was nominated for the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week.
The redshirt freshman from Kerrville, Texas, threw for a school-record 453 yards and set the SEC single game record for total offense with 557 total yards. He accounted for five touchdowns to help Texas A&M to its first SEC victory.
