COLLEGE STATION, TX -- Texas A&M’s Tyler Naquin, Ross Stripling and Michael Wacha were honored Wednesday as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced its 17th Annual All-America Teams.

Naquin and Stripling were elected to the second team while Wacha was announced as a third team member.

Naquin proved to be one of the most dangerous and versatile offensive players in the country again this season after joining both Stripling and Wacha in garnering All-America accolades from Collegiate Baseball in late May. The Spring, Texas, native finished with a Big 12-best .380 batting average to go along with team highs in runs (56), doubles (18) and triples (6). Additionally, the rifle-armed outfielder drove in 49 runs while stealing a career-best 21 bases.

For the second year in a row, Stripling was among the nation's most consistent and dominant starting pitchers, owning a 10-4 record with a team-best 120 strikeouts in 125.2 innings of work. Opponents hit a paltry .229 against the Southlake, Texas, native, who made national news when he tossed the 11th no-hitter in Texas A&M history on May 12 against San Diego State.

Texas A&M's other standout on the mound, Wacha also enjoyed an outstanding campaign in 2012 as the right-hander was the Aggies' series-opening starter all season, compiling an 9-1 record. Additionally the Texarkana, Texas, product led the Aggie starting staff with a 2.06 ERA while recording 116 strikeouts in 113.1 innings of work.
