Plenty At Stake For Both Aggies And Tigers In Regular Season Finale

WHAT’S AT STAKE

Texas A&M is looking for its first 10-win season since 1998 as the two newcomers to the SEC meet. Missouri needs a win to become bowl eligible and extend its winning streak over the Aggies to four games. Redshirt freshman QB Johnny Manziel needs another big performance to help his chances of becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.

KEY MATCHUP

Manziel vs. Missouri’s defense. Manziel is second in the nation in total offense with 378 yards a game. He is the fifth player and first freshman in FBS history to pass for at least 3,000 yards with at least 1,000 yards rushing in a season, and his 4,161 yards are a school record for total offense in a season. Missouri’s defense is seventh in the SEC and is allowing more than 367 yards a game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Missouri: QB James Franklin. Missouri trailed 28-17 in the fourth quarter last season against Texas A&M before Franklin led a rally for the 38-31 overtime win. Franklin has thrown for 1,562 yards and 10 touchdowns and ran for 122 yards this season.

Texas A&M: WR Ryan Swope. The senior has 237 catches for 2,962 yards in his career. He leads A&M’s receivers with six touchdowns this season, and his 57 catches for 758 yards are second on the team.
