COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M head football coach Kevin Sumlin met with the media Thursday night. Sumlin talked about the Aggies' season opener against Louisiana Tech being postponed and the team's upcoming match-up with Florida on September 8.
Even though the game was postponed the Aggies did have practice on Tuesday after they got the news. Sumlin told the team after practice "We are all disappointed. It's not what happens to you, it's how you handle it. We will take our game plans put them up on the shelf, break them back out October 6 or something like that."
When asked about what stands out with Florida especially their defense Sumlin said "Coach (Will) Muschamp has done a great job wherever he has been defensively. They are aggressive in their style. They have excellent athletes, they are big and change things up, aggressive style of play."
Texas A&M and Florida will kick-off at 2:30 September 8 at Kyle Field. The game will be televised on ESPN. It will be the debut game for Texas A&M in the Southeastern Conference.
