The Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving team rose to No. 2 in the College Swim Coaches Association of America poll on Wednesday after finishing the fall semester with a perfect 5-0 dual meet record.

The Aggies jumped two spots from the No. 4 ranking that they had held in the previous two editions of the CSCAA Top 25. USC stayed atop the poll, and Georgia, California and Texas round out the top five. Seven teams from the Southeastern Conference are in the top 25.

During a strong fall season, the Aggies logged SEC victories over No. 9 Florida and South Carolina, and non-conference wins over No. 16 North Carolina, No. 23 SMU and Rice. The Aggies also were dominant in a team victory at the Phill Hansel Invitational at the University of Houston.
