COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M men’s basketball junior Kourtney Roberson underwent a successful out-patient procedure at Scott & White Hospital in College Station on Thursday.
After experiencing a rapid heart rate during Monday’s team practice, the Arcadia, La., native was evaluated by athletic training staff and team doctors who scheduled today’s procedure.
“First and foremost, our concern is for Kourtney’s health and well-being” Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy said. “We’ll make sure he gets all the support he needs and are hopeful that he will be back on the court for us very soon.”
Roberson is expected to rejoin the Aggies and resume full basketball activities in the coming weeks.
Following an exhibition game against UTPA on Wednesday, Oct. 30, the Texas A&M men’s basketball team officially opens the 2013-14 campaign Friday, Nov. 8, against Buffalo at Reed Arena.
