COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas A&M associate women's head coach Vic Schaefer is expected to leave the program at the end of the season to take the head job at Mississippi State.
A press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. on the Mississippi State campus Tuesday.
Schaefer had no comment when approached about the story tonight at the Aggies NCAA Tournament watch party.
Schaefer has served as an assistant under Blair for 15 seasons at Arkansas and Texas A&M. He was head coach at Sam Houston State from 1990 to 1997.
He will replace Sharon Fanning-Otis, who retired after 17 seasons as head coach of the Lady Bulldogs. She is the all-time winningest coach in program history.
