COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Texas A&M women's basketball team will hold walk-on tryouts next week for students looking to compete for a spot on the roster.
Any student planning to try out must attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. in the women’s film room of the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball. Participants must be full-time Texas A&M students and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
In order to participate in the tryouts, students must have proof of a sports physical that has been completed in the past six months, as well as sickle cell blood test results for the meeting on Sept. 17. Both tests can be performed at the University Health Center or by a family doctor. Students are required to bring both the completed physical form and sickle cell results to the walk-on try out meeting on Sept. 17.
For any questions regarding walk-on tryouts, please contact Erich Birch in the Texas A&M women's basketball office at (979) 862-1636.
