MURPHY (November 30, 2009)--Police in the North Texas town of Murphy say a body was recovered Sunday from a house that caught fire.

Murphy Police Chief G.M. Cox said Sunday a preliminary investigation indicates "the fatality is not associated with the fire," reported Dallas-Fort Worth television station WFAA.

The victim’s name was not released Sunday and the cause of death remained under investigation.

Cox says the home was fully engulfed in flames upon arrival Sunday morning.

Murphy is about 18 miles north of Dallas.
