News 3's Shane McAuliffe brings years of story telling experience to KBTX News 3. A traveled Texas journalist, Shane has worked at stations in Austin, Corpus Christi, and Abilene.

Over his years of telling the stories of Texas, Shane has won many awards including a Lone Star Emmy Award, Barbara Jordan Media Award, a Telly Award, and several Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Awards.

Shane is a graduate of The University of Houston

His first passion coming out of college was sports reporting. During an internship at Fox Sports Net in Houston, Shane got to live his dream of interviewing the athletes he grew up watching. During his career, he's covered everything from the NFL playoffs to a little league baseball game.

Shane arrived at KBTX News 3 in the fall of 2008 and enjoys telling the stories of the Brazos Valley with his series, "The Brazos Valley Bucket List" and "Here In The Brazos Valley." He even traveled to the Black Forest of Germany with the Rotary Club and brought us the series "KBTX News 3 Goes to Germany."

Shane is married to News 3's Meredith Stancik. During his free time, he enjoys getting to see his wife outside of the office, playing golf, and trying unique beers. Shane is a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoys working with the MDA Telethon.

Shane grew up in Round Rock, Texas and couldn't be happier living in Bryan-College Station.
