Houston native Rashi Vats joined the KBTX news team in August 2011.
Before moving to the Brazos Valley, she was a reporter for KXII in Sherman, TX. Most recently she was a multimedia journalist for KRIS and KZTV in Corpus Christi, TX.
She graduated from Texas Christian University in 2008 where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in broadcast journalism from the Schieffer School of Journalism. At TCU, Rashi was a reporter for the CNN-affiliated TCU News Now. She also minored in business at TCU.
In the summer of 2007, she interned for CBS Evening News in New York and was chosen as an International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) 2007 Summer Fellow. Right before moving to New York City, Rashi worked overseas where she interned at the CBS London Bureau in the spring of 2007.
During her spare time, she loves catching up on international news, spending time with family and friends, traveling and eating chocolate!
