Kristen Guilfoos is the weekend anchor for News 3 and reports throughout the week.
She joined the News 3 team in April 2014, coming to the Bryan/College Station area from Wausau, Wisconsin, where she was the Morning Anchor at another Gray Television-owned station, WSAW.
This is not her first time in Texas, as she began her TV news career in Amarillo as a Reporter, then Weekend Anchor at KFDA.
She is originally from Rochester, New York but moved to Richmond, Virginia in elementary school and then moved to Tampa, Florida in high school. So, she’s no stranger to exploring new places and can’t wait to see what the Brazos Valley has to offer!
Kristen graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications News. While at UF, she was a weather anchor and reporter for WUFT as well as an anchor and producer for AM850 Radio, both in Gainesville, Florida.
Having said that, she is a huge, unapologetic Florida Gator fan and is proud to have attended school during Florida's back-to-back-to-back basketball and football national championships. GO GATORS!! Please don’t hold that against her Aggie fans!
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis and golf, rollerblading, and swimming. She is a certified lifeguard and swim instructor. Her most recent endeavor is becoming a master in the kitchen - slowly but surely she’s honing in on her culinary skills... so far, so good!
