Cody Coil started his second go-round at KBTX in June 2009. He previously worked at the station in 2005.
In between his time in the Brazos Valley, Cody worked at KOAM/KJFX in Pittsburg, KS/Joplin, MO, first as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter and later as Sports Director. In 2009, he won the Kansas Association of Broadcasters award for Best Sportscast in medium market television.
Cody started his career as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter at KRBC-TV in Abilene, TX. He also did some radio work in the Big Country at KVRP in Haskell, TX.
A New Mexico native, Cody made his way to Texas to attend Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and graduated in 2004. He lettered in both football and basketball for the Cowboys.
Cody took over as Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter in May 2010.
He won the Best Sportscast award given by the Texas AP Broadcasters for Division III in 2010 and 2012.
He lives in College Station with his wife, Allison, sons Creyton and Denson and their dogs, Noah and Delilah.
