Updated: 3:13 PM KBTX Media has embarked on a massive transition as its local news joins other local and national content aired on the station in high definition. It's the latest of many big moves the station has made over its 50-plus-year history.

Updated: 11:21 AM July 7, 2011, marked the beginning of new chapter in KBTX History. After years of planning and preparation culminating with full support and approval of KBTX ownership in mid-2010, the conversion to HD News is fully underway.
