KBTX Journalists Receive Lonestar Emmy

Our own Meredith Stancik and Shane McAuliffe won a Lone Star Emmy Award Saturday evening, in Houston, for their story "To Avery with Love."

"To Avery with Love" is a story they did earlier this year about a little girl from Boston who was able to get a second chance at life, thanks to a family in College Station who lost their son, but gave Avery a second chance through organ donation.
