Brazos County Sheriff's Deputies and animal control are using their resources to help find the dog of a man investigators believe was murdered by his own brother.
Cliff Wischnewsky, of Tomball, was found dead off Highway 21 east of Bryan last Friday.
Investigators say his brother, Kyle, confessed to the murder and to dumping the dog five miles from his brother's dead body.
"It's really hard right now,” said Cassie Breaux-Wischnewsky, the victim’s ex-wife. "We are not having any luck, we have a few leads.”
Cassie along with family, friends and complete strangers have been walking down Highway 21 trying to locate the dog, Marley.
"I'm not going to stop until I find her. I'm just exhausted,” Cassie said.
Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk sent out several of his deputies to help find the dog. He says they are dedicating resources to the search not only because it would help the investigation, but they are doing it out of compassion.
"They have lost their loved one, and they have an animal that is at large and we would like to see it return to the family,” said Sheriff Kirk.
If you have any information on Marley, call the Brazos County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect is being held at the Brazos County Jail with no bond.
