Brenda Sims

For more than 16 years, Brenda Sims began your lunchtime with the familiar "Hello, Brazos Valley!" In December 2008, Brenda ended News 3 at Noon with "Goodbye, Brazos Valley."
But Brenda...retire? Never!
As the host of News 3 at Noon, Brenda had the opportunity to interview political figures, movie stars and famous athletes, as well as the newsmakers of the Brazos Valley. Now, she has the opportunity to do in-depth interviews with those same Brazos Valley folks with her Names and Faces segment every other Thursday at noon. You'll find out some of the things you didn't know about the names and discover the stories behind some faces.
Brenda was born in Dallas, attended the University of Texas and flew for Braniff Airlines in the late 1950s. On a blind date, she met her husband, Randy, then a football star at Texas A&M. He is currently Brazos County Judge.
After two children and eight grandchildren, Brenda found her niche: working in the television industry. Her enthusiasm for interacting with people and a sense of inquisitiveness has made her the perfect host for Names and Faces.
Because of her TV job, along with being the wife of the county judge, much of Brenda's time has been spent being involved with local charities and organizations. Brenda was the recipient of the You're the Tops award for community service, has been the co-chair of the American Heart Walk, served on the board of the College Station Medical Center, and even won the top award for showing goats at the 4H Youth Livestock Show.
