Meredith Stancik

Anchor, Reporter

stancik@kbtx.com

Meredith Stancik joined KBTX in the fall of 2005 as a reporter. She anchored News 3 at Noon from March 2006 until March 2007. In April, she took over as KBTX's weekend anchor, but in July, she returned to the Noon show, along with anchoring News 3 at 5.

Meredith graduated from Baylor University in December 2003 with a degree in Speech Communications. She also picked up minors in both Public Relations and Broadcast Management.

Before graduating, Meredith spent her last semester living in New York City. She interned for ABC Incorporated's Good Morning America and 20/20. It's in the Big Apple Meredith fell in love with broadcast journalism.

After graduation, Meredith spent a year in Abilene as a reporter for KRBC-TV and the weekend anchor for KTAB-TV.

Meredith is a La Grange, Texas native, and is glad to be living in Central Texas.

Some of her most memorable stories while at KBTX include a ride-along with the Bryan Police Department's Directed Deployment Team, Robert Gates' appointment as US Secretary of Defense, and the "On the Road" stops in Millican and Wellborn.

When Meredith is not at work, you'll find her spending time with her friends and family, reading a good book, shopping after holiday sales (she says she her weakness is buying Christmas decorations) and working out.
