Meredith Stancik began her career with KBTX in late 2005 as a reporter. She quickly moved through the ranks and has since anchored every newscast at the station. In addition to reporting, she shares responsibilities as a primary anchor for News 3's 5, 6, and 10PM newscasts with veteran journalist John Gilbert.
Meredith was honored in 2011 with a prestigious Lone Star Emmy award for a moving series about organ donation, "To Avery with Love." She has also received high accolades by her peers from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters. The association honored her with a coveted Best Anchor Award in both 2009-10 and 2010-11, receiving 1st and 2nd Place, respectively.
Meredith is a graduate of Baylor University.
She spent her last semester of college living in New York City. She interned for ABC's Good Morning America and 20/20, where she was able to work with Diane Sawyer, Charles Gibson and Lara Spencer. While living in the 'Big Apple,' Meredith discovered her true calling: broadcast journalism.
After graduating college, Meredith worked as a production assistant at KXAS in Dallas. She then spent a year in Abilene as a reporter for KRBC-TV and then as the weekend anchor for KTAB-TV.
Meredith is married to News 3's Shane McAuliffe. In her free time, she enjoys the company of family and friends, working out, and volunteering. Meredith is a member of the Junior League of Bryan-College Station, a host for the MDA Telethon and volunteers for numerous other organizations.
Meredith grew up in La Grange, Texas and is proud to call Bryan-College Station her home.
