Shannon Dillon joined KBTX in June 2009.

Though quite sometime since her last visit to Aggieland, she's no stranger to Texas. The Houston native came to KBTX from KAVU-TV in Victoria, Texas. While there she worked in a wide variety of roles including reporter ,anchor, producer, photographer, and editor.

Prior to KAVU-TV, Shannon worked as a reporter for Houston Airports Today, providing voice reports on the Bayou City's airport systems.

Shannon received her journalism degree from the Dan Rather School of Communications at Sam Houston State University. Graduating with a journalism degree was the result of changing her course of study from Biology, a decision made on Shannon's first day of class.

At SHSU Shannon worked as reporter, anchor, and even weathercaster! While in college, she interned at FOX 26 and News Radio 740 KTRH in Houston.

Shannon is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

When not working news stories for KBTX, Shannon can be found at one of the many places to dine in Bryan/College Station. When not enjoying a meal, she's probably glued to a television feeding her guilty pleasure-Reality TV shows.
