Stephanie Palmer joined the KBTX News Team in May 2010. As a native of Huntsville and graduate of Texas A&M University, she's excited to be back in the Brazos Valley covering stories that affect the communities and people she loves.
The Texas Associated Press Broadcasters recognized Stephanie with a 2nd Place award for General Assignment Reporting in 2010-2011. Stephanie's career started in Houston, Texas where she worked as a Reporter and Producer. While in Houston, Stephanie produced a top-rated newscast for KTRK, an Emmy-nominated news commentary show, a movie review special and a weekly sports program. One of her most memorable assignments was covering Hurricane Ike and its aftermath, when the storm roared into Galveston Bay in 2008.
During her college years, she completed a series of highly-competitive internships, including a successful assignment at CNN Headline News in Atlanta, Georgia, and one right here at KBTX.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys cycling. In April 2010, she rode in the MS 150 biking event from Houston to Austin. Along with team members from the CBS affiliate in Houston, she raised money to one day find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
