KBTX-DT is the CBS television network affiliate covering the Brazos Valley, including Bryan/College Station, Texas. With studios based in Bryan, TX, KBTX is home of KBTX News 3 HD, KBTX.com, and CW Texas. The station is owned by Gray Television, based in Atlanta, Georgia. KBTX News 3 HD and CBS programming can be seen on digital channel 3.1, Suddenlink channel 5 and on Suddenlink HD channel 710, in Bryan/College Station. CW programming can be seen on digital channel 3.2, TAMU Campus channel 8, Suddenlink channel 8 and on Suddenlink HD channel 711, in Bryan/College Station. CBS and KBTX HD programming is also available "over-the-air", on satellite, or through Suddenlink Cable's HD package. Covering portions of the Waco and Houston markets, KBTX actively covers Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Milam, Montgomery, Robertson, Walker and Washington Counties. Texas A&M University, Sam Houston State University and Blinn College are in its coverage area.. KBTX News 3 HD produces six #1 newscasts a day (Monday-Friday), and three #1 newscasts on the weekends, for a total of 33 total newscasts during the week. |
