You never get used to the atmosphere around the Brazos Valley during an Aggie game day and The Bleacher Report couldn't agree more.

The website ranked Bryan/College Station as the 4th best college town for pre and post game activities.

From BBQ to Tex-Mex, the area's vast amount of restaurants played a big role as did the number of museums.

But an Aggie staple is continuing its national exposure.

"My dad can remember doing the exact same thing at the exact same bar back in his day and he was a part of the class of 1976," said Texas A&M junior Casey Giles.

Giles is celebrating his 21st birthday in style at the Dixie Chicken and he say nothing compares to celebrating an Aggie victory at the Chicken.

"The crowd is a little bit different and a little more different when we win of course. When we lose, they're a little bit more mellow. But everyone definitely comes to the post-game," said Giles.

When it comes to the post-game, the Dixie Chicken may be the place to be. But when it comes to pre-game, the folks from The Bleacher Report say having a jewel like Messina Hof in a college town this size is something you usually don't see.

"Not only do Aggies know about Messina Hof but also the other schools that are visiting us know about Messina Hof," said Paul Bonarrigo of Messina Hof.

Going from the city to a wine vineyard in a matter of minutes was another big factor in ranking Texas A&M fourth. Messina Hof has engraved itself into the culture of the Brazos Valley and brings a little refinement to the craziness that can be game day.

"it's just a great way of showing off Bryan/College Station and showing it's diversity. I mean we are now part of the Napa Valley of Texas," said Bonarrigo.

The news is nothing new to Chamber Of Commerce President Royce Hickman.

"It's great to see us recognized for what we know is a community that provides a lot of positive experiences around game day," said Hickman.

And those experiences make for some great memories even if it's not on an Aggie game day.

I'm pretty sure the bleacher report says "in no particular order..." So NOT number 4, just the 4th one listed.

Yea, B-CS!! And to myob, rankings like this aren't just based on one or two locations. It's about the overall atmosphere, the hospitality shown and the overall experience. Kudos to all B-CS businesses - restaurants, bars, hotels, convenience stores, attractions, TAMU and the BCS Convention & Visitors Bureau - for setting the standard and this Top 5 ranking. Gig 'Em, Aggieland!
