The Bridge Ministries hosting our very own Chili Cook-off and Silent Auction on Saturday, October 24th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. We will have up to 15 people/teams enter their delicious chili into the contest. $35 per team/individual to enter the Chili Cook-off contest. People will purchase tickets for $8 to taste all of the different chili and vote on the top four favorites. While the chili tasting is going on, we will have a silent auction taking place where wonderful items donated from around the community will be up for grabs! The Elizabeth House Maternity Home Fiesta Banquet

The Elizabeth House Maternity Home opened in January 2015. Since opening, the ministry has provided a loving home for eleven mothers, seven children, and ten precious babies. But, we can't continue to do this without the help of our community!
Join us on Tuesday, September 29th at 7 pm at the Brazos County Expo Center for dinner and to learn about our exciting plans for 2016 and give some of our grateful residents a chance to say "thank you" in person. Mercy Project 5 Year Anniversary Celebration

Five year anniversary celebration of bringing justice, mercy, and freedom to the children of Ghana, Africa. The celebration will be hosted by Mercy Project at the Brazos Expo Center to thank the Bryan/College Station community for their unwavering support and commitment to the pursuit of freedom for the children trafficked into lives of slavery on Lake Volta in Ghana. Mercy Project invites everyone in the Bryan-College Station communities to attend along with their families, friends, and neighbors. Both long time supporters, and those new and unfamiliar with their work, are encouraged to join in the fun.
The celebration will include the following:
Free catered dinner for adults.
Supervised area of activities for children ages 3-10 at no extra cost.
Separate complimentary meal for children in attendance.
Interactive timeline of the Mercy Project journey for families to experience together.
Reflections, updates, and presentations from the Mercy Project board and staff.
Video of Mercy Project’s work in Ghana, Africa and an unveiling of future plans.

BACKGROUND: The Brazos Valley Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is again raising money for the Air Warrior Courage Foundation. This foundation provides funding and support for our wounded veterans and their families at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, and is favorably rated by Charity Navigator. Bob Pardo, a retired College Station Vietnam fighter pilot and MOAA member, was instrumental in the start up of this charity 17 years ago. Our MOAA chapter has raised $10,000 in each of the past two years. This is an all-volunteer program and every penny of the money raised goes to help support these wounded warriors and their families while they are being treated at the medical center. There are no administrative costs deducted from these funds. The AWCF is an IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
