HOWLoween Benefit

Date(s): 10/25/2014

5:00-9:00PM

11405 N. Dowling Rd., Unit H in College Station
HOWLoween benefit returns for second year

The New Republic Brewing Company and Brazos Pets Alive! host family- and pet-friendly night

The area’s favorite HOWLoween event is back! Brazos Pets Alive! (BPA!) and New Republic Brewing Company host the second annual HOWLoween, sponsored by Banfield Pet Hospital, from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

This family- and pet-friendly event will benefit BPA! in its efforts to save more homeless pets in Bryan and College Station. It will feature live music and local food trucks in addition to dog costume contests, trick-or-treating for children and other fun activities. A new edition of the custom glasses will be available for purchase with all proceeds going toward medical care for BPA! pets.

Dog costume contest winners will receive prize baskets and categories will be:

• Small breed: under 20 lbs.

• Medium breed: 20-40 lbs.

• Large breed: above 40 lbs.

• Best Homemade costume

• Man's Best Friend: coordinated owner and dog costumes

• People's Choice

The New Republic Brewing Company is an Aggie-owned-and-operated small craft brewery located at 11405 N. Dowling Rd., Unit H in College Station.

Brazos Pets Alive! is dedicated to making the Brazos Valley a no-kill area for shelter pets through volunteers, fosters and local partnerships. Many of the most vulnerable animals in shelters include unweaned and young kittens and puppies, feral cats and animals with medical emergencies. A no-kill designation requires a 90 percent survival rate for all animals that enter animal shelters. Austin currently is the largest no-kill city in the United States and BPA! is looking to expand that momentum east to the Brazos Valley.

Please note: all dogs MUST be on a leash and up-to-date on shots.
