St. Joseph Health System’s Brazos Valley Sports Medicine program is holding Saturday Morning Injury Clinics for high school and junior high students. The clinics run every Saturday morning, beginning August 23 through November 15. Clinics are held at St. Joseph Orthopedic Associates at 2803 Earl Rudder Freeway, South in College Station. Students are asked to arrive at 9 a.m. and bring their personal insurance and school insurance claim forms.

Scotty’s House Child Advocacy Center will host the Darkness to Light program at its facility, located at 2424 Kent Street in Bryan.
The program is free and open to any concerned citizen, but registration is required.
Darkness to Light is a non-profit organization whose mission is to reduce the incidents of child sexual abuse by shifting the responsibility from children to adults. This is accomplished through an award winning media campaign which raises public awareness and directs adults to educational tools that will educate them on how to prevent, recognize and respond to sexual child abuse and motivate them to courageous action. BVCAAs meals on Wheels program delivers over 600 noontime meals daily to Brazos Valley seniors.
Your local Meals on Wheels needs your help. Commit your company to give as little as 2 hours per week between 10am-12pm, for six months in 2010. By making your donation of time or money, you will help provide the next meal for a senior in need.
