The Bedias Homecoming

The Bedias Homecoming has been held every five years as a way of reuniting class members from the old Bedias school. Students were redistricted elsewhere when the school closed down in the 1960's. Recently, the Homecoming event has been expanded as an Alligator Festival, in honor of the Bedias school mascot, the Alligators. This year, Bedias will be celebrating 183 years!

The Festival has something for everyone including:
•Parade at 10am
•Local wine tasting 11am - 5pm
•Dance, with the Westernaires band 6pm - 10pm
•Reunion
•Car show
•Craft sale, alligator gifts
•Library and Museum open house
•Special exhibits showcasing the history of Bedias
•Little Miss/Mister Bedias

Join AMCHS Bands for their FREE annual Holiday Concert and Silent Auction. Each year the band students perform for their parents, student body, teachers, and community. Enjoy the Jazz Band as you shop our Silent Auction featuring and I-Pad 2, a round of golf with Terrence Murphy at Traditions, unique gift baskets and many other fabulous finds.

We have some fun events planned for our matches against Madisonville on Tuesday, October 16 to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.
1) We'll keep track of and collect pledges for Aces, Digs and Kills during the varsity match
2) We'll have a raffle for a great Dig Pink gift basket and a Dig Pink jewelry set valued at $98
3) Fans can drop coins or bills into our Dig Pink donation bucket
4) There will even be Dig Pink concessions to help you get your pink on!

Traditional Chinese Performers at Allen Academy

Allen Academy
The Confucius Institute and the Office of International Outreach at Texas A&M University will sponsor a performing troupe from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China who will be will be coming to Allen Academy Monday, February 8 from 2-3:30pm to present a program of Chinese song, dance, acrobatics and martial arts. Their performances will feature traditional Chinese culture as well as contemporary pieces sure to engage audiences of all ages.
