BACKGROUND: The Brazos Valley Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is again raising money for the Air Warrior Courage Foundation. This foundation provides funding and support for our wounded veterans and their families at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, and is favorably rated by Charity Navigator. Bob Pardo, a retired College Station Vietnam fighter pilot and MOAA member, was instrumental in the start up of this charity 17 years ago. Our MOAA chapter has raised $10,000 in each of the past two years. This is an all-volunteer program and every penny of the money raised goes to help support these wounded warriors and their families while they are being treated at the medical center. There are no administrative costs deducted from these funds. The AWCF is an IRS 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
