Break the Silence: Run Against Violence 5K

Date(s): 11/8/2014

Physicians Centre, College Station, Texas
Statistics show that 1 in 4 women will be a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime! Since 1978, Phoebe's Home has been a beacon of hope and strength to the victims of domestic and teen dating violence in the Brazos valley. The Twin City Mission Domestic Violence Services program (TCMDVS) is dedicated to supporting victims through counseling, case management, legal advocacy, safety planning and shelter, as well as providing prevention and outreach. Twin City Mission Vision Statement: "A world in which all individuals and families have opportunity for hope, acceptance, and stability, in a safe and caring environment."

The 1st annual Break the Silence: Run Against Violence 5K Fun Run enables us to reach out to the community about the work we do to help victims of domestic violence and to fund-raise, allowing us to continue providing the best care possible. It is because of continued community support that we are able to make a difference!
