Diabetes Workshop being Offered
In conjunction with the Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension Program, New Beginnings Life Ministries will be hosting a free seven-week diabetes workshop entitled Wisdom, Power, Control on Mondays from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm, October 14th through November 25th.
Given the burden of diabetes, Wisdom, Power & Control addresses the need for an evidence-based, culturally relevant type 2 diabetes self-management education program. Participants in the workshop will learn to develop self-care skills, to improve eating habits, maintain good nutrition and to improve the quality of life for those living with diabetes. Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and the lifestyle skills that will better control their diabetes.
Educational programs of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service are open to all people without regard to race, color, sex, disability, religion, age or national origin. The workshop is open to the community and will be led by Mary Sanders, a Cooperative Extension Agent. It will be offered at the New Beginnings Life Ministries Conference Room located at 1016 E. Blue Bell Road in Brenham.
All interested participants are asked to register for the free workshop by emailing Amanda at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 979-836-1588.
