The Bryan College Station Chamber of Commerce & King Oaks Community invite you and your staff to join us for a special community announcement and ribbon cutting! Operation FINALLY HOME is coming to Bryan-College Station and we need your support. Operation FINALLY HOME is based in Houston and works to provide custom-made, mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans and the widows of the fallen in an effort to get their lives back on track and become productive members of their communities. This national non-profit is partnering with local home builders to build a mortgage-free custom home for a wounded veteran in the acreage neighborhood of King Oaks.

Free Legal Clinic for Veterans

Veterans who need legal advice or legal assistance can visit a free legal clinic scheduled in Navasota/Grimes County on Saturday, July 28, 2012, in conjunction with the Veterans Legal Initiative, a coalition of local bar associations providing pro bono legal services to U.S. veterans in 14 counties in Southeast Texas.
The clinic will be held July 28 at VFW Post 4006, 1575 W. Washington, Navasota, TX 77868, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. No appointment is necessary. The clinic is co-sponsored with the Northwest Houston Bar Association in conjunction with the Houston Bar Foundation’s Veterans Legal Initiative.
Any veteran, or spouse of a deceased veteran, can receive advice and counsel from a volunteer attorney in any area of law, including family, wills and probate, consumer, real estate and tax law, as well as disability and veterans benefits. Veterans who need ongoing legal representation and who qualify for legal aid will be assigned a pro bono attorney to handle their case.
