The Anderson-Shiro Elementary will be hosting it’s 1st Annual Hooty Hustle 5k Run & 1 mile Walk/Run, on Saturday, October 13, 2012. The run will start at the Anderson-Shiro Elementary and proceed through the Historic Downtown area.
The funds raised from the Hooty Hustle will go to support our Literacy Program by buying materials including; books, e-books, technology software, and tablets. Our children are facing a future of learning unlike that of any previous generation. They will be challenged by the world of technology and all that it holds. It is our job as educators, parents, and community leaders to make sure they have all the tools of which to accomplish this.

The area will consist of awesome moonbounces, crafts, and activities for your little one to participate in. The classes accommodate both beginners and more advanced speakers of Czech and are open to anyone who is interested. Instructional materials will be provided and are covered as part of the nominal $35.00 tuition fee.
The course is taught by an instructor from the Czech Republic, the current holder of the CEFT William J. Hlavinka Czech Fellowship at Texas A&M University. Sponsored by the Brazos Valley Chapter of Czech Heritage Society and Czech Educational Foundation of Texas.
