Teen Novel Boot Camp

Do you want to write a novel but have no clue where to start? Have you started one but not sure how to finish it? Or you’ve already written a novel, and are wondering: what do I do now? Come to Teen Novel Boot Camp (TNBC). In two hours, you will learn the basics of how to build a novel. You will leave with a clear understanding of the 5 basic plot points of every novel. You will know how to create authentic characters. You will learn techniques used by the pros. PLUS share your work (5 min. per participant) if you wish and receive gentle critique.
Molly Blaisdell, Camp Leader, is a dash of fun, mixed in with some smart cookie and a splash of capable. She’s also the author of 30 books for children, including THE BIG FUZZY COAT (MeeGenius, ebook) and REMBRANDT AND THE BOY WHO DREW DOGS (Barron’s). She adapted an excerpt of Holly Cupala's DON'T BREATHE A WORD (Harper Teen) into a graphic novel available at www.hollycupala.com. Molly's YA novel Plumb Crazy was a semifinalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel contest. She inspires artists of all kinds with her weekly blog, Seize the Day (mollyblaisdell.blogspot.com).

The Meeting Planners’ Showcase is an annual event designed to highlight local businesses that service individuals or groups hosting events, meetings, conferences, reunions, weddings and special events in our community. The classes accommodate both beginners and more advanced speakers of Czech and are open to anyone who is interested. Instructional materials will be provided and are covered as part of the nominal $35.00 tuition fee.
The course is taught by an instructor from the Czech Republic, the current holder of the CEFT William J. Hlavinka Czech Fellowship at Texas A&M University. Sponsored by the Brazos Valley Chapter of Czech Heritage Society and Czech Educational Foundation of Texas.
