Spring Mini Camp Program

Mar 11, 2013 - Mar 15, 2013 9 AM - 3 PM

Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History 3232 Briarcrest Drive (Brazos Center) Bryan, Texas 77802
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is pleased to announce their annual Spring Mini Camp program from Monday, March 11- Friday, March 15.

An educational experience awaits children at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History’s Spring Mini Camp! Studying science and history helps children to know and understand the world around them. The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History offers children this opportunity in a safe, fun, and educational setting. Through non-traditional teaching techniques, campers are encouraged to explore science, animal behavior, history, and their local environment using interactive lessons and educational games and crafts.

The Museum facilities include classroom areas, the Discovery Room, and a 40-acre park, all used to enhance children’s learning experience. Our staff members are experienced teachers and to ensure personalized instruction, classes are kept small with a teacher to student ratio of 1:10. Of course, this means classes fill up quickly, so don’t wait to register!

This spring, join us as we take students, ages 4-12, on an exciting adventure to learn more about oceans, one of the last frontiers on Earth!

Kids will explore old and new marine mysteries, and discover the amazing creatures that live in the deep blue sea. Each day includes lessons on ocean habitats, remarkable animal adaptations in deep sea environments, and the exciting natural history of some of these extraordinary creatures! Educational games, activities, and crafts will enhance your child’s learning experience.

Children may come for one day, or for all five. Camp is from 9-3 with before and after camp care available. Please call the Museum at 979-776-2195 for more information on how to register.

Regular admission to the Museum and the Museum’s permanent galleries and traveling exhibits is $5 for adults; $4 for children, students, and seniors. Members and children 3 and under are free.

The Museum, located in the Brazos Center on Briarcrest Drive, is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5pm.
