Come out to show your support for the family of Larry Burch. Larry died suddenly in January at the age of 50 from a "widows maker" heart attack. He left behind a wife and 3 kids. Larry didn't have any insurance and we are trying to help the family with funeral, hospital, and other expenses.

Easter Celebration

George Bush Presidential Library and Museum
The College Station Easter Celebration will be held March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum. Activities will include: entertainment, games, face painting, an Easter egg hunt, egg roll, egg toss, complimentary refreshments and photos with the Easter Bunny.
Schedule of events:
9 a.m. - Late registration for bike and door prizes
9:30 a.m. - Receive grab bags
9:50 a.m. - Easter Bunny arrives
10 a.m. - Easter Egg Hunt

Specially designed wooden White House-style Easter Eggs are given to the children. Local merchants contribute prizes to give away, and a boy's and a girl's bicycle and helmet will be awarded in each of the three age categories: 3 and under, 4-5 and 6-7. Parents must register their children to win.
A kite-flying contest will begin at 11 a.m. in the field across from the Bush Library and Museum. Children and adults who want to participate must bring their own kite.
Barbara Bush Drive will be closed to traffic before and during the event. Participants should access the museum via Research Drive, Discovery Drive or John Kimbrough Blvd. Parking will be available in the museum parking lot and Bush School lot (PA 111). Handicapped parking will be available in the museum parking lot.
The College Station Easter Egg Hunt has been a long standing tradition hosted by the Police Department. From humble beginnings in 1982, the Easter Celebration has evolved into one of the most highly anticipated events of the spring. The Bush Library and Museum began partnering with the police department in 1999, adding activities to the event modeled after the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

Professional Angler Jimmy Houston to Attend Fishing Derby at King Oaks

Saturday, March 23, King Oaks, Bryan-College Station’s premier, master-planned community, will host a fishing derby featuring professional angler Jimmy Houston, who will be on hand from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to give fishing tips to children and adults. The event starts at 10 a.m. and includes lunch, door prizes, a children’s bounce house and live music by the Texas Twisters.
Tickets are $10, and all proceeds will go toward the cost of a mortgage-free, custom home for wounded veteran Sgt. Monte Bernardo of the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. While serving his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, Bernardo was critically injured by an IED blast on July 4, 2012. Sgt. Bernardo has been selected by Operation FINALLY HOME to be honored with a custom home for him and his family.
