Weaverville, CA -- A waterfall at a church in Trinity County, California is getting a lot of attention from believers all because of what's happening with the water.

Father Keith Canterbury says he installed a rock waterfall behind St. Patrick's Church in Weaverville, California about three years ago. Father Canterbury says about two years ago, every few weeks the water would turn red for no apparent reason.

Father Canterbury says he's has several tests done on the water, including a test done by a law enforcement laboratory. The results of the test didn't provide any clues as to what is happening.

Now, Father Canterbury says people from all different religious backgrounds are showing up at the fountain. They put the water on them and pray around the fountain.

Father Canterbury says when the water turns red it usually stays that was for a nearly a week. On Friday (6-23-06) the water in the waterfall was red.
