LOS ANGELES (AP) - Leaders of the Screen Actors Guild met with producers for two hours Wednesday. And, the result is: nothing. No other meetings are planned. Wednesday's meeting came a week after the union rejected what the producers called their final contract offer. Producers want the union to give the contract to rank and file for a vote. The producers have said if the offer is not ratified by August 15th, any proposed pay hikes would not be made retroactive to July 1. Actors have been working under a contract that expired last month.
