LOS ANGELES (AP) - Gidget the Chihuahua has gone to doggie heaven. Gidget was the Taco Bell Chihuahua in commercials that ran from 1997 through 2000. Those ads made her a star. Her owner says she traveled first class and one day, even opened the New York Stock Exchange. Later she was in a Geico Insurance commercial. And, Gidget played Reese Witherspoon's inseparable friend, Bruiser, in "Legally Blonde 2: Red White and Blonde" in 2003. Gidget's owner says the little dog knew when the camera was on her. She lived out her retirement with her trainer, going on hikes and visiting the beach. Gidget was in good health but had a massive stroke late Tuesday night. She was 15.
