Saturday Night PinPoint Forecast

September's hot hold on the Brazos Valley should come to an end by this weekend as rain and storms, along with a decent cold front approach the area by Monday. If you are making any plans for this evening or this weekend, be sure to download the News3 App so you can keep an eye on the radar as you're out and about. For tonight, expect any rain or storms that develop to come to an end before 8pm, with a few lingering sprinkles possible. If you plan on attending Texas Reds this evening in Downtown Bryan, bring the rain jacket or umbrella just in case, but you should be good without it. Temperatures will only drop into the low to mid 70s the next few nights, so it'll remain muggy as the rain gets going this weekend. Sunday will be our best chance for rain, as the front gets a bit closer, storms will have a better boundary to focus and develop on. Some locally heavy rain is possible, but we might dodge the big rains this weekend. The start of the upcoming week should be a sign of Fall, with temperatures in the 80s and a quick drying trend by late Tuesday into Wednesday.
