Texas A&M campus hosted Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid Of Belgium Wednesday. The university and Belgium honored their history, and conducted a little business.
This chilly, overcast Wednesday will give way to the chance of drizzle and spotty light showers this evening & overnight (30%). While accumulations are expected to be little to none, that rain chance is ahead of a STRONG, Arctic cold front arriving between midnight and sunrise Thursday. We start Thursday in the low to mid 40s (except for the Northern Brazos Valley who should already by down to the mid 30s) and fall to the 40� - 42� by mid-morning. From there, we may warm back up a degree or two, but expect low 40s to take us through the day. Factor in a brisk north wind at 15-20mph, with higher gusts 25-30mph at times -- wind chill values are expected in the mid 30s (at best) by mid-afternoon. Temperatures really tumble Thursday night -- FIRST FREEZE of the season is expected for many, with lows falling between 28� (north) and 32� (south) by Friday morning.
The Brazos County Sheriff's Office is investigating a death at a Texas A&M University fraternity house Tuesday night.
