Saturday Night Weather Update 4/22

Ahhhhhhhhh... Much cooler air has filtered into the region behind an early morning cold front. That has brought unseasonably cool temperatures for the Brazos Valley on Earth Day 2017. Not too bad though, considering the record high for today is 93, and the average high is 80, I'd say we are doing pretty good for a Saturday in late April. A light jacket will be needed this evening, as winds remain on the breezy side, adding the chill to the air. We should drop to around 50 by Sunday morning, so jackets are certainly needed by then. Sunday afternoon should be just as nice, but still on the cooler/breezy side with highs in the lower 70s and northwesterly winds of about 10-20 mph. Don't expect this cooldown to last too long though, as we could actually hit our first 90s of the season by the middle of this upcoming week.
