Grimes Co. Grass Fire Burns 50 Acres, 4 Homes Evacuated

Grimes County, Tx- Grimes County Emergency Management says a grass fire is 90% contained after burning 50 acres near County Road 170 and FM 244.

The fire started Wednesday afternoon, and 4 homes in the area have been evacuated. Fire fighters are at the scene and say the fire is almost completely contained.

Grimes Co. officials say residents should be able to return to their homes soon.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, and News 3 will have more information when it becomes available.
