ROME (AP) Torrential flash floods on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia have killed 14 people.
The mayor in Olbia tells Sky TG24 that the city has been destroyed by the "apocalyptic" storm, with bridges washed out by gushing, muddy rivers and water levels reaching 10 feet high in some places.
Sardinia's governor says the victims include a family of four and policeman whose car became submerged when a bridge collapsed.
