CHICAGO (AP) The deep chill has returned to parts of the Midwest and the South, bringing with it wind chills ranging from the negative teens to the negative 40s.

And forecasters say that's how it'll be for about 2 ½ days.

Forecasters say wind chills will make it feel like it's minus 43 in Minneapolis, minus 23 in Chicago, minus 14 in Kansas City, Mo. and minus 3 in Louisville, Ky.

Schools in the Chicago area are canceled today.
