KBTX Departments Square Off During Globetrotters' Halftime

Updated: Thu 9:24 AM, Jan 31, 2013

COLLEGE STATION, TX-- Wednesday night the KBTX Sports Department continued its basketball domination over the KBTX Weather Department with a 15-8 win at Reed Arena.

The two departments squared off as part of the Harlem Globetrotters halftime festivities. The Buffalo Players In Progress group also put on an exhibition.

"We knew we were going to dominate again," said News 3 Sports Director Darryl Bruffett. "After some folks on twitter doubted the outcome Cody and I talked about shutting them out, but instead demonstrated charity by giving them plenty of opportunities to score."

"After all, we are all on the same KBTX team!"

While everybody scored Coil Coil lead the sports team with 13 points including a pair of three pointers.

"Not only did sports win tonight, but the Harlem Globetrotters did as well, basketball tradition lives on in Aggieland," concluded Bruffett.
