BETHEL ACRES, Okla. (AP) - An Oklahoma woman who spent years rescuing and aiding injured and neglected animals, including countless four-legged critters during a series of tornadoes in May, is now finding herself in need of a little help.

Maeghan Hadley runs 1 Day Ranch, a rescue and rehabilitation program for abused and neglected dogs and horses. She's trying to raise thousands of dollars to build a new barn because hers was badly damaged during a May tornado. Hadley hopes to build a new barn to use for a therapeutic riding program for children with autism and other developmental delays.

In May, Hadley was photographed by The Associated Press rescuing a kitten following a tornado near her home in Bethel Acres.
