A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH has been issued for Leon, Milam, and Robertson Counties until 1:00 am Sunday morning. A line of rain and thunderstorms will be possible between sunset and midnight -- moving in from the north & west. Some storms could be strong to severe. If these storms can reach the area, they could pose a localized flooding & damaging wind threat.
The weekend forecast isn't looking too shabby for Parent's Weekend. Thanks to high pressure, the weather is going to be perfect for anything and everything that can be done outside.
Temperatures are going to be warming up into the high 70s and low 80s through Sunday, with clouds slowly increasing. Lows overnight are going to stay in the 50s, so a light jacket would be a good idea. There is a slight chance for rain on Sunday, though it is only a 20% chance and shouldn't ruin any outside plans or be too inconvenient for your drive home.
Winds will continue out of the east around 5-10 mph, then gradually shifting out of the south on Sunday to help temperatures warm and give us that small chance of rain.
